About

Clarkesworld is a science fiction and fantasy magazine that has been regularly publishing since October 2006. Monthly issues typically include six-to-eight works of original fiction and a variety of non-fiction, such as interviews, articles, and editorials. The magazine is published online and in a variety of subscribable ebook and print editions. Their fiction is also available in audio podcast editions and collected in annual anthologies. Clarkesworld has been recognized with a World Fantasy Award, three Hugo Awards, and a British Fantasy Award. Works published have been finalists for, or won, the Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, BSFA, Sturgeon, Locus, Shirley Jackson, Ditmar, Aurora, Aurealis, WSFA Small Press, and Stoker Awards.

Nonfiction Open

Clarkesworld Magazine is looking for articles of interest to readers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. We are looking for a wide range of types of article including, but not limited to: discussions of the genre publishing business, essays on the writing process and the reading experience, scientific material that might be of use in SF stories, and so on.
