Triggerfish Critical Review 11

About

We chose the Triggerfish for its characteristic of blowing over sea urchins with a jet of water to get at the bottom below the spines, or fighting past them and through the shell, to get at its meat. As a journal, it's our intention to follow suit with the work we choose to publish. The intention isn’t to demonstrate the worth of these poems–the gray area of sensibility and taste–but to talk about how we read them and why we want you to read them. One way we do this is by inviting each issue's contributors to review/respond to their choice of one or more poems in an issue. Check out our current and past issues online to see what that looks like. Each issue also features the work of one artist, along with an interview or artist's statement.
